Canada Learning Code is Canada's leading national charity championing digital literacy education. Placing a special emphasis on women, girls, people with disabilities, Indigenous youth and newcomers, Canada Learning Code is proud to work from coast to coast to make sure that all Canadians have access to the knowledge they need to prosper in our digital world. Originally founded as Ladies Learning Code in 2011, the organization has evolved to run programming for adults, youth and educators through programs Ladies, Girls, Kids, Teens and Teachers Learning Code. Today, Canada Learning Code operates in over 35 communities across the country, driving results through program design and delivery, strategic industry and public partnerships, research and advocacy. To date, the organization has reached over 250,000 learners through an in-person experience.

We are looking for a creative, mission-driven, detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Content Coordinator

What Success Looks Like

  • Our teams across Canada have the most up-to-date resources to feel supported in delivering our programs
  • All new content for our programs and experiences have undergone detailed QA and review before being released to teams for delivery
  • We map existing content to curriculum standards across the country to make it easy for educators to keep teaching coding in the classroom

Key Responsibilities

  • Reviewing content and ensuring quality, editing as required prior to release to delivery teams
  • Updating content on an on-going basis (ie. ensuring most recent platform visuals are accurate)
  • Maintaining and uploading lesson plans onto our website
  • Support with administrative tasks and special projects
  • Making connections between lesson plans and curriculum across the country

About You

  • You are tech-savvy: experience with HTML & CSS is necessary, Wordpress is also preferred
  • You have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • You can multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • You are highly organized and detail oriented
  • You are results-driven
  • You are collaborative and team-focused
  • You are creative and have the ability to make connections between coding and curriculum
  • You are familiar with Adobe creative suite (InDesign, Acrobat, etc)
  • You have a 'no job is too big or too small' mentality
  • You take initiative and are excited to come up with creative ideas as part of your job every day
  • Fluency in French is an asset

Work Hours and Environment This is a full-time position. Core in-office hours are 10AM - 4PM Monday to Friday, with flexibility to build your full-time schedule to work outside these hours as you prefer and is needed to achieve goals. This role will work primarily from our HQ office space but our organization has a flexible workplace policy. We have an open concept workspace with flexible workspace options.

This role reports to our Content Design Manager.
