We are looking for a bright, detail oriented, organized, creative problem solver to join our team as a Program Design Intern for 8 amazing weeks this summer!

About the Role

The Program Design Team at Canada Learning Code creates Program Experiences and Lesson Content for our teams across Canada to introduce coding to their communities. Work with the Program Design Team to help maintain consistency and stay organized through the completion of administrative tasks throughout 8 weeks within the Summer months.

You will report directly to our Director of Program Design. Using frameworks and guidance from your manager, you will be responsible for administrative and operations-related tasks that contribute to successful Program Design and Management.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Capturing meeting minutes and takeaways
  • Assisting with research on program design considerations.
  • Assisting with lesson content management maintenance
  • Assisting and facilitate staff on individual projects as necessary
  • Organizing operations and management tools
  • Editing resources that are used to communicate our Programs for internal and external stakeholders

The position will require you to be self-motivated, self-directed, creative, innovative and flexible. We are looking for someone who has a strong work-ethic, who is willing to learn and who likes to solve problems.

  • You have strong communication skills.
  • You take initiative and understand that asking questions is part of being resourceful towards getting the job done.
  • You have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • This role is funded by Canada Summer Jobs Grant for youth, it is required that applicants are under the age of 30
  • You are a flexible team player and confident in asking the right questions and being engaged to find positive solutions.
  • You are superbly organized and use online tools to help you be effective and efficient.
  • You consider yourself tech-savvy. You know your way around Google apps (Drive,
  • Documents, Spreadsheets, Forms)
  • You have a driven personality to see projects and tasks through to completion.
  • You are reliable, honest, and trustworthy and have strong integrity.

Work Hours and Environment

This is an 8-week, full-time contract position. Core working hours are 10AM - 4PM Monday to Friday, with flexibility to work outside these hours as you prefer or is needed. This role will work from our HQ office space.

Our working environment is an alternative, open concept workspace. Status check-ins and keeping project plans up to date will keep us organized and on top of deadlines. Some evening and weekend work may be required. This role reports to our Director of Program Design
